विश्व संगीत दिवस हर साल 21 जून को 120 से अधिक देशों में मनाया जाता है, जिसमें इसका मूल देश फ्रांस भी शामिल है, जहां इसे शौकिया और पेशेवर संगीतकारों दोनों को सम्मानित करने के लिए Mus फेटे डे ला म्यूजिक ’का अर्थ“ संगीत का त्योहार ”के रूप में जाना जाता है। संगीत के माध्यम से शांति को बढ़ावा देने और सद्भावना फैलाने के लिए यह दिन मनाया जाता है। कई संगीतकार और अन्य संगठन इस दिन को पार्कों, ट्रेन स्टेशनों, संग्रहालयों और विभिन्न अन्य सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर संगीत कार्यक्रम आयोजित करके मनाते हैं। विश्व संगीत दिवस अर्जेंटीना, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, ब्रिटेन, लक्समबर्ग, जर्मनी, स्विट्जरलैंड, कोस्टा रिका, चीन, भारत, लेबनान और कई अन्य देशों में पूरे विश्व में मनाया जाता है।
